We are seeking a talented IT Infrastructure Engineer (Hybrid Role - Remote/On Site - Carlstadt, NJ ) to join our team to help support and facilitate our growth and expansion of services. 

Job Purpose Summary

Responsible for designing, building, deploying, and maintaining the IT infrastructure using the latest technology. Infrastructure engineering includes working with Internet connections, cabling, virtualization platforms, firewalls, switches, and storage area networks.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: 

  • Support LAN/WAN/Server/Storage Infrastructure for on-premise and cloud environments
  • Ensure platform security and adherence to the best practices for IT systems
  • Contribute to infrastructure configuration and design in both physical and virtual environments
  • Support technology related projects as defined by key stakeholders.
  • Install, maintain, and monitor operating environments
  • Respond effectively and speedily to any problems
  • Conduct root cause analyses on infrastructure malfunctions
  • Document infrastructure malfunctions and corresponding actions
  • Maintain a professional demeanor with clients and colleagues
  • Provide training and technical support for users with varying levels of IT knowledge
  • Complete routine preventative maintenance of infrastructure components
  • Ensure operating environments stay safe and secure
  • Update any software and hardware where necessary

Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Proficiency with infrastructure hardware and technologies
    • IP Table Configuration Experience
    • Firewall Experience
    • VM-Ware Certified
    • Shared storage technologies
    • Proficiency with Microsoft operating systems
  • Knowledge of IT-related Security and compliance Frameworks - NIST, CIS, HITRUST, PCI compliance, SOC, etc.
  • Technical Documentation - Formally document the network topology

Role Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • Extensive knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies - Routing, Switching, Firewall experience, Routing Protocols
  • Extensive knowledge of Server/Storage/Virtualization technologies - Windows desktop/Server, VMware
  • Strong background in AWS and cloud-based technology platforms
  • Preferred qualifications:
    • CCNP or Higher (CCIE) is a plus
    • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)
    • VMware Certified Associate 6- Data Center Virtualization
    • Knowledge of IT-related Security and compliance Frameworks - NIST, CIS, HITRUST, PCI compliance, SOC, etc.
